Gavin Gull Beaded Necklace
Gavin Gull Beaded Necklace
This necklace represents friendship.
From 'The Story of Chippy' written by Steph Kempthorne
"As he stared out over the beach, Chippy the cat was taken aback by the sudden appearance of an unfamiliar seagull.
Unlike the others, this gull was larger and possessed an endearing awkwardness. Intrigued, Chippy cautiously approached, and to his surprise, the gull extended a wing in greeting.
Introducing himself as Gavin, the gull explained that he too struggled to fit in with his peers due to his unconventional size and mannerisms.
Finding solace in each other's company, Chippy and Gavin embarked on an unexpected friendship, marked by shared adventures along the shoreline."

4 tips to keep your sterling silver jewellery looking as good as the day you got it!
Sterling silver, though stunning, can, and will, tarnish over time. We're here to spill the tea on how to keep your precious pieces looking as fresh as the day you got them.
1. Shield your jewellery from direct contact with chemicals, and exercise caution with perfume application. Allow the fragrance to settle before putting on your jewellery, as this will prevent chemical reactions from affecting the metal.
2. Don't sleep on large hoops or huggies. This will safeguard the structural integrity and give your piercings a break. You don't want sore and saggy lobes, right?
3. Steer clear of chlorine when wearing gold vermeil / plated jewellery. Chlorine can react with the metal and cause the gold bonds to break down, shortening the life of your jewellery.
4. Regular maintenence will extend the lifespan espeically if you wear jewellery with gemstone/diamond settings. Cleaning with a soft toothbrush will dislodge dust and grime, which reduces the likelihood of losing your precious stones.
Pieces without gemstones can be easily cleaned with a polishing cloth or soft toothbrush. Just don't over polish vermeil/plated pieces as this will cause premature weakening of the gold bonds.
*Silk Knotted pieces such as JelliGems, must not come into contact with water, as this will cause the silk to stretch and warp. Be careful with pearls as they are delicate and will crush under pressure. Just remove before any rigorous activity or showering and you'll be good to go!
